Tell me where there exists a booklover’s heaven in Japan?
This library is none other than the Ikushima Library. It rises in the outskirts west of Tokyo, in the same Kokubunji where the most celebrated Japanese contemporary writer Haruki Murakami ran his Jazz Bar.

The Ikushima Library is owned by two Japanese writers who planned a house that doubled their workspace.

This library’s shelves has been carved and perfected beautifully, in clean architecture. It is designed not by people, but by tons and tons of books!

Everyone dubs this enormous structure as a “House of Books, with Family.” At night it looks more beautiful!

Tell me what you think about this place.
